9º – Love is Strange (Ira Sachs, 2014)
In the plot, a couple of middle-aged men have to live far from each other, in the house of relatives, after one of them is fired. The film gains its substance by exploiting the setbacks they find living away from what they knew. ‘Love is Strange’ is a comedy that presents an optimistic vision of the human heart in the world, bringing incredible characters and an inviting and light story.
8º – The Shawshank Redemption (Frank Darabont, 1994)
Wrongly condemned for the murder of his wife, a man will have to rediscover his life inside a prison, meeting some incredible people and stories there. ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ is a film that thrills its viewer from the first to the last minute, showing the adaptive factor found in the human being.
