The film tells the story of a young dancer who rules her steps over the world with an uncertainty steeped in her way of being. ‘Frances Ha’ is a work that questions the collective sense that society gives to happiness, discarding the subjectivity of the individual and provoking feelings of doubt about what is really right for his life.
7º – Punch-Drunk Love (Paul Thomas Anderson, 2002)
Two individuals excluded from the social sphere are welcomed by their oddities, finding in the other a comfort for their professional and personal choices. Social exclusion is seen by the film as an extremely damaging factor to the individual’s psychological health, causing superficial suffering that end up compromising his ability to enjoy his day-to-day life.
