A middle-aged couple discovers a source of comfort when they see friends of two enthusiastic young men. The film works on how the concept of aging is subjugated by the social realm, imputing to this natural instance of life a negative quality that prevents the attainment of pleasure in daily activities.
3º – The Station Agent (Tom McCarthy, 2003)
When his only friend and master dies, a man with dwarfism decides to abandon his life in the big city and to live in a less populous region, allocating himself in an old house that the deceased left him. Here we will see how what is perceived as unknown or strange by the human being can be despised and feared, making individuals who do not meet the standard of normality are prevented from achieving a common life in their social contact.
