2º – Dressed To Kill (Brian De Palma, 1980)
A strange woman begins to murder the patients of a psychiatrist. When a young woman witnesses one of the murders, the strange woman will begin to invest her efforts in silencing the witness. Impeccable, ‘Dressed To Kill’ is a treat for the suspense fan. A film that takes advantage of classic aspects used decades before by Alfred Hitchcock, creating new features that would be repeated countless times in later years by films of the same genre. Best suspense of Brian De Palma’s career.
1º – Scarface (Brian De Palma, 1983)
A Cuban immigrant finds his way to social ascent in the life of crime in a pulsating Miami of the 1980s. We find in this masterpiece by Brian De Palma an impeccable film and one of the greatest performances in the history of cinema. Al Pacino gives the viewer a superb performance during the 170 minutes of the film, never losing its intensity for a minute.
