5º – Room (Lenny Abrahamson, 2015)The film shows the limited day-to-day life of a mother and her child who live isolated from the world in a small environment. ‘Room’ is sad when we look at its general apparatus, bringing a difficult and always surprising story.
4º – Grave of the Fireflies (Isao Takahata, 1988)Gaining form during World War II, the film tells the story of two brothers searching for the simple possibility of survival. ‘Grave of the Fireflies’ is possibly the saddest film ever devised in the seventh art. A rustic animation in its resolutions, never offering positive elements to the spectator, working to denounce the horrors that a war presents.
