3º – Fast Times at Ridgemont High (Amy Heckerling, 1982)The plot is simple, trying to unravel the day-to-day life of a group of teenagers from a California school in their quest for what is most common in this troubled human period. The film rules a carefree aura, giving the viewer the most common and entertaining elements of adolescent films of the time. ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’ still gives us one of the most celebrated characters of the decade, the misfit Jeff Spicoli, played by Sean Penn.

 

2º – The Wild Life (Art Linson, 1984)The plot of the film is superficial, exposing the lives of some teenagers in an unbridled search for alcohol and women. Little known of the decade, ‘The Wild Life’ presents a story that amuses for its simplicity. Another interesting factor is that the film is scripted by Cameron Crowe, filmmaker who would have his career leveraged in the 1990s in works with exactly the same theme found here.

 

1º – Jaws (Steven Spielberg, 1975)Responsible for boosting the career of Steven Spielberg in the midst of the seventh art, ‘Jaws’ brings in his plot the story of a white shark of abnormal proportions who starts to terrorize a beach, attacking its visitors at sea. The film will gain momentum as some individuals, spearheaded by the local sheriff’s efforts, decide to try to stop the shark from continuing to plague the beach. Suspense first, working to fully capture the attention of its viewer, the film continues to impress by its extreme quality to the present day.
