9º – Summer Rental (Carl Reiner, 1985)
A man, enveloped in a dull and unrewarding work routine, decides to take his family for a beach holiday season. However, what should be permeated solely by fun, ends up becoming a true chaos with the outbreak of the most diverse confusions. Fun from beginning to end, this film features nothing less than the legendary John Candy as the protagonist, playing a character characteristic of the actor’s filmography. In addition, the whole plot of the film departs from a more carefree point of view, with constructions of simple scenes and that cherish an easy humor.
8º – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (John Hughes, 1986)
A teenager decides to take a day off from school, pretending to be sick to his parents. However, the teenager does not intend to spend a sunny day like the one locked at home. And to enjoy the day, he will count on the presence of his best friend and his girlfriend. ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ is the greatest exponent of the 1980s in cinema. A film that brings together the best of that decade, still mixing its plot with strong philosophical concepts.
