2º – The Experiment (Oliver Hirschbiegel, 2001)In the plot, several individuals are placed in a prison to participate in a social experiment. There, they will have to live together for a few weeks, dividing themselves into two groups, one formed by prisoners and the other by guards. The problem is that, after some time, things begin to get out of hand, putting everyone’s lives at risk. Coming from German cinema, ‘The Experiment’ explains a little of the rotten core that understands human existence. Here, we will see how we are impacted by a simple social nickname and how we act on it. A disturbing work, but one that undoubtedly deserves the time invested by the fan of the seventh art.
