3º – Disturbia (D.J. Caruso, 2007)A teenage boy convicted to serve house arrest after an assault is completely convinced that his neighbor is a serial killer. Now, it is up to him to set up a research apparatus, detailing how it complicates things that he can not leave the house. ‘Disturbia’ is a suspense class, relying on a plot and aesthetic construction of scenes that manage to leave the viewer completely connected to what happens. A fantastic homage to one of Alfred Hitchcock’s classics, the iconic ‘Rear Window’.
2º – A Nightmare on Elm Street (Wes Craven, 1984)In the plot, adolescents inexplicably begin to appear dead, arousing a great mystery in the local authorities. Little by little, some individuals begin to mull over the mystery, finding that the deaths were linked to an already dead killer who attacked their victims in their dreams. Horror movie icon, ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ is able to bring to the viewer a dynamic, different plot that would open the door to the most diverse sequences about the central character.
1º – Friday the 13th (Sean S. Cunningham, 1980)Wrapped in the reality of a holiday camp with a strange sinister legend that permeates it, a group of young people happens to be the target of a murderer that kills its members without mercy. Now it’s up to the members of the group to try to save themselves from the terrible killer. ‘Friday the 13th’ is the first film in the huge saga, featuring frantic terror and truly memorable scenes.
