7º – Wrong Turn (Rob Schmidt, 2003)After suffering a strange car accident in an isolated region, permeated by a comprehensive forest, a group of young people is hunted by local cannibals. ‘Wrong Turn’ is a film that exhibits a more dynamic horror, with constructions of agile scenes and that always follow plans without the traditional jump scares. Another extremely positive point of this work is his decision to bring much of the horror scenes in the sunlight, giving another dimension to the story compendium.
6º – Urban Legend (Jamie Blanks, 1998)In the plot, some students of a college find themselves surrounded by a series of bizarre murders, questioning the existence of a serial killer in the place. ‘Urban legend’ is one of the little pearls of adolescent horror of the late 1990s, using what was most common in that tangle of constructions of the genre.
