7º – Society (Brian Yuzna, 1989)
Living in the upper American social class, a teenager suspects that his parents are not exactly what they seem. We will follow this teenager’s search for answers and his increasingly terrifying discoveries. ‘Society’ is a regular horror film, featuring a plot with good ideas, a study of the hidden fun and a completely bizarre final scene that ends up being recorded in the viewer’s head.
6º – Dead Ringers (David Cronenberg, 1988)
Two twin brothers, both respected doctors, end up getting involved with the same woman, starting a perverse game without winners. Masterpiece by David Cronenberg, this film takes advantage of the unique talent of its director in the aesthetic construction of each scene, bringing a beautiful cinematography and a perfect soundtrack to complete. Also worth mentioning is the undeniable story and the phenomenal performance of Jeremy Irons commanding the two central characters.
