3º – The Face of Another (Hiroshi Teshigahara, 1966)A man decides to go to a clinic to do a procedure in which he will change his face. A priori, the procedure is successful, giving the man a new face and, consequently, a new life. However, as he begins to spend more time with his new face, man ends up having his personality altered from time to time, leading him, little by little, to the complete state of alienation from his essence. ‘The Face of Another’ shows us how our process of internal and external recognition is closely linked to our physical makeup.
