45º – Elephant (Gus Van Sant, 2003)The film brings events preceding a great massacre in a school, showing the daily life of the teen responsible for the act. Sad and disturbing in its central story arc, ‘Elephant’ has a whole aesthetic that takes advantage of video games in vogue at the time. Its director, the creative Gus Van Sant, admitted in an interview that used much of the game ‘Tomb Raider’ and the popular “FPS” as inspiration for the creation of plans entered into the film, making a kind of criticism of youth of that period. A great movie that deserves to be watched more carefully.
44º – Polytechnique (Denis Villeneuve, 2009)Based on a real event, the film tells the story of a massacre at a school that vitimara several students. Good recent option of cinema, this movie surprised by its lightness in his scenes and central meander history, with an optimistic aura about part of existence and the adaptive nature of the human being.
42º – Closer (Mike Nichols, 2004)Different, the plot breaks down routine two different couples, united by the simple figure of chance, with its components finding the missing ingredient in their lives in individuals outside the arc of their relationship. Belonging to film Mike Nichols, this film is flawless from beginning to end with a story that explains the forms of love manifest in a traditional contemporary society.
41º – The Devil Wears Prada (David Frankel, 2006)Starting a new job in the fashion area, a young woman has to deal with day to day hectic of the profession and its delightful little head. This film is part of this list to have as a central figure in the events of his plot the fashion and its various ramifications. But more than this detail, the film still manages to bring an engaging and funny story, choosing to escape the great clichés of the genre and learn to use their core actresses, superb Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep.
