Brian Sweeney Fitzgerald (the central character), in his substantial quest for opera, has extreme attitudes about the world, completely disdaining opinions of others, presenting a unique form of behavior. Werner Herzog’s masterpiece, ‘Fitzcarraldo’ is a flawless film, exposing a great conjunction of factors about a character on his erratic journey over the world.
