After his wife is brutally murdered by a lethal serial killer, a man will seek revenge at any cost against the killer. Pearl of South Korean cinema in this list, ‘I Saw the Devil’ breaks with the common patterns of films with this theme, inverting roles between the central characters, resulting in a frenetic pace transposed to the viewer.
6º – Network (Sidney Lumet, 1976)
A veteran television channel host suffers an exacerbated break with the standards of his life, deciding to use his media space to distil extreme scores on his social siege, soon becoming a major celebrity for it. A masterpiece of the 1970s, ‘Network’ is impeccable from the first scene to the last, bringing to the viewer an intelligent plot that “hammers” several of the untouchable concepts of a traditional society.
