8º – Another Woman (Woody Allen, 1988) – Featured: Gena RowlandsWrapped in a turbulent moment in her life, a woman decides to rent an apartment to try to write a new book. However, next to a psychiatrist, the woman begins to see herself increasingly obsessed by the stories of the professional’s patients, which she listens to from her apartment. Known for her masterful performances in John Cassavetes’ films, Gena Rowlands is able to deliver a consistent performance here that provides an increase in the quality of the work.
7º – Irrational Man (Woody Allen, 2015) – Featured: Emma StoneTormented by the shallowness that his life had become, a philosophy teacher finds a way to break with the insipid patterns of his daily life by performing an extreme act. Dealing with the moral standards intrinsic to a society, ‘Irrational Man’ is a good film, still managing to expose consistent performances of its protagonists. Despite the beautiful acting of Joaquin Phoenix, the highlight of the film goes to the actress Emma Stone.
6º – Blue Jasmine (Woody Allen, 2013) – Featured: Cate BlanchettPassing through a financial and emotional crisis in her life, a middle-aged woman, accustomed to a life permeated by luxuries, has to live with her sister, facing the most diverse mishaps. Woody Allen commands the direction of the film, managing to bring an attractive story. However, the highlight of the film focuses completely on the performance of Cate Blanchett, who dominates each apparition on screen.
5º – Hannah and Her Sisters (Woody Allen, 1986) – Featured: Dianne WiestShowing the compendium of relationships between various characters, Woody Allen gives us an impeccable film that always seeks to list the erratic links that comprise human behavior. The entire cast of the film is flawless, blending common names with Allen’s movies with legends rarely used by the director in his filmography. However, we can highlight the performance of Dianne Wiest.

Elaine Stritch is sorely missed in this list. Her role in September is magnificent. So is Geraldine Paige’s performance in Interiors. Make the list longer, rather than incomplete, to include these WA characters who deserve a spot.
