3º – Perfect Blue (Satoshi Kon, 1997)A successful singer decides to leave the world of music and become an actress. However, the road to success in her new venture becomes more difficult than she thought. Little by little, the woman will begin to lose contact with reality and will realize her sanity at risk, no longer knowing how to differentiate reality from hallucinations. ‘Perfect Blue’ is not an animation for any kind of audience, exposing an adult plot, with extremely psychologically disturbing scenes. However, it is worth saying, we have here a real masterpiece. A film that manages to transpose to the viewer all the pathological compendium of a character condemned by his own choices.
2º – Head-On (Fatih Akin, 2004)The film tells the story of two self-destructive youngsters who, by mere chance, meet and start a relationship. However, the erratic bonds of both in the world are aggravated when together, making the relationship between the two something impossible. Directed by the great Fatih Akin, ‘Head-on’ is an intense work, showing a branch of life little evidenced in cinema.
1º – Knives Out (Rian Johnson, 2019)The investigation of a murder within an eccentric and influential family is studied by the film, showing all the incoherent and extreme layer of the members of such family. A funny and intelligent comedy, ‘Knives Out’ provokes laughter from the first to the last scene, and also counts on an incredible female cast that is responsible for making this film interesting.
