4º – Fitzcarraldo (Werner Herzog, 1982)
A man takes a journey in an attempt to build an opera in the jungle. The film gains its substance by bringing this whole paranoid journey of man, exposing every difficulty on the way to his dream. A masterpiece, ‘Fitzcarraldo’ manages to be dynamic even though it’s almost three hours long, with scenes that use all the talent of director Werner Herzog and his protagonist, actor Klaus Kinski.
