10 Summer Movies of 1980s

4º – Fraternity Vacation (James Frawley, 1985)Hidden in the decade, ” Fraternity Vacation” raises the most habitual components of the time, regardless of its claudicating quality, managing to entertain its spectator to each resolution of the history, that little worries to arrive at some place in fact. The film starred actor Stephen Geoffreys, best known for his performance in “Fright Night” (1985) that same year, which, with the decline of his career in later years, ended up taking part in adult films in the nineteen ninety.

3º – The Wild Life (Art Linson, 1984)The plot of the film is superficial, exposing the lives of some adolescents in the unbridled search for alcohol and women. Little known of the decade, ‘ The Wild Life’ presents a story that amuses by its simplicity. Another interesting factor is that the film is scripted by Cameron Crowe, filmmaker who would have his career leveraged in the 1990s in works with exactly the same theme found here.

2º – Summer School (Carl Reiner, 1987)Looking to simply enjoy his summer vacation, a teacher has his plans thwarted when he is tasked with teaching to a gang of young misfits. ‘Summer School’ uses its warm and unpleasant atmosphere for school life to govern its fun plot.

1º – Weekend at Bernie’s (Ted Kotcheff, 1989)Spending a weekend at the beach house of his corrupt boss, two young people end up having their lives completely altered when the man appears dead. Worried about the aftermath of the boss’s death, the two resolve to pretend the man is still alive, walking with his corpse through the long weekend. ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ is a movie made not to be taken seriously. His exaggerated and unrealistic plot is only an excuse for exposing the various comic situations contained in the film.
