10 Summer Movies of 1980s

In this Top 10, we list ten striking 1980s movies perfect for summer viewing. A prolific decade for American cinema, the 1980s provided movie watchers with hundreds of productions. And the summer and vacation themes, intrinsic to the adolescent cinema of the time, brought to the spectator several unpretentious and amusing films. 10º – Say Anything… (Cameron Crowe, 1989)The film revolves around two young men about to enter the more complex routines, such as colleges and the like, that are in love. Both will have to deal with the conflicts of the late teens and the coming of adulthood with their responsibilities. Good choice of the 1980s, ‘Say Anything…’ still gives us the opportunity to see John Cusack (the actor still featured in other teen films of the decade) in more uncommitted roles in his early career.

 

9º – Risky Business (Paul Brickman, 1983)A teenager, looking for fun while alone at home, ends up getting into a tangle of various confusions. Using a good proposal, however, with a regular execution, ‘ Risky Business’ is more notable for the presence of Tom Cruise in the film’s command than, properly speaking, for its quality. However, the film comes as a great choice for fans of the 1980s.
