10ยบ – The White Ribbon (Michael Haneke, 2009)Taking shape in a small German village just before the outbreak of World War I, history shows the attempt by local residents to discover those responsible for strange and cruel acts. Directed by Michael Haneke, ‘The White Ribbon’ starts from an individualistic premise, sketching a figure of evil that fits into a single individual, for a collective, terrifying point of view, denouncing evil as something intrinsic to our origin. A great film, which, however, charges its spectator very psychologically.
