5º – The Favourite (Yorgos Lanthimos, 2018)
England, 18th century. The lives of a queen and her best friend are completely changed after the arrival of a young servant, forming a strange bond between the three that will bring exacerbated situations. ‘The Favourite’ enchants from beginning to end, with a fabulous direction by the Greek Yorgos Lanthimos, with one of the most beautiful cinematography in the history of cinema, an unrecoverable plot and powerful performances, especially by actress Rachel Weisz.
4º – One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Milos Forman, 1975)
Trying to escape from prison, a man claims insanity and ends up in a psychiatric institution. There, he will learn more about himself, realize that his stay there would be more difficult than he thought and will alter the daily lives of other patients. Despite the good cast, it is Jack Nicholson who stands out, having the performance of his life, as well as one of the best already seen in the seventh art.
