9º – Sorcerer (William Friedkin, 1977)Some men accept the risky job of transporting a potentially explosive material in a truck through uncertain places. In the midst of this journey, men will coexist with paranoia and the imminence of the worst, leaving everything more suffering and sad. ‘Sorcerer’ conveys as few as claustrophobic to the viewer, using a tangle of scenes that works cruelly with their characters, never offering them rewards. It is also worth mentioning the irreplaceable performance of the legendary Roy Scheider in front of the protagonist.

 

8º – Diabolique (Henri-Georges Clouzot, 1955)Two women devise a murder plan for an unscrupulous man. After taking the idea forward, the two will now have to get rid of the body. However, everything gets even more macabre contours when the man’s body disappears. The French classic of the 1950s, ‘Diabolique’ is daring in its history, presenting the spectator with two emblematic characters, exacerbated situations that are always headed for the worst and memorable scenes and have their place recorded in the seventh art.
