10 Action Movies You Need To Watch

8º – To Live and Die in L.A. (William Friedkin, 1985)After his partner is murdered a few days before retiring to investigate a case, a police officer will break any rule in an attempt to capture those responsible. ‘To Live and Die in L.A.’ breaks with any standard of the genre, delivering to the viewer a film that surprises every scene, always with unexpected unevenness in its plot. Forgotten pearl of the 1980s that certainly deserved more recognition.

7º – Goldfinger (Guy Hamilton, 1964)In the best film ever made of the iconic James Bond character, ‘Goldfinger’ manages to construct a concise plot, evidencing a tangle of novels, betrayals and, of course, a lot of action. An impeccable work, absent from the traditional exaggerations of the spy films in the decade, still delivering a superb performance of Sean Connery ahead of the character.

6º – First Blood (Ted Kotcheff, 1982)A troubled war veteran ends up bringing a complete state of chaos to a small town after being molested by an arrogant cop. Although focusing on the genre of action, the film still manages to walk subtly through the field of suspense, delivering a dense, uncompromising work on a character destroyed by human stupidity. ‘First Blood’ is the best film of the entire saga, being able, unlike the others, to bring to the viewer a serious plot.

5º – The Fugitive (Andrew Davis, 1993)Falsely accused of killing his wife, Richard Kimble is the target of a national hunt, while trying to escape the authorities, finding the true culprit. With a duration of 130 minutes, ‘The Fugitive’ emanates a bustling atmosphere from the beginning. Impeccable direction, sober script, accurate soundtrack, very present edition and irredeemable performances elevate this film to the rank of one of the best already conceived in the genre of action.
