2º – Fitzcarraldo (Werner Herzog, 1982)
The film tells the story of a man completely obsessed with the idea of building an opera in the middle of the jungle, facing the most diverse mishaps to try to fulfill his greatest dream. Having almost three hours of duration, the work is a walk through the psychological construct of a character who flirts with madness at various times in the film, ignoring moral and ethical concepts to reach his goal.
1º – Camera Buff (Krzysztof Kieslowski, 1979)
A man acquires a camera when his son is born, exposing the excuse of being able to record all the advances of the child’s life. However, as he becomes more and more acquainted with the instrument, man becomes obsessed with the idea of always capturing the best images and scenes, showing the apprehension of a new gift. ‘Camera Buff’ is a film about life and its most significant points.
