10 Amazing Slasher Movies You Can’t Miss

3º – Black Christmas (Bob Clark, 1974)In the plot, during the Christmas period, a house formed by university girls is attacked by a mysterious murderer. Today little remembered, ‘Black Christmas’ is a pearl of horror cinema of the 1970s. A film that gives the viewer the most traditional elements of the genre, raising a story that is attractive and concise. It is also worth mentioning that this film was of great importance for the construction of a new model of horror, being one of the pioneers in its construction of history.

2º – The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (Tobe Hooper, 1974)In the plot, a group of young people, during a trip in a van, is brutally attacked by a family of psychopaths. It is difficult to characterize this film. ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ escaped all the pretensions of American horror movies of the time, using elements little known in the genre, such as hot photography, the use of comedy to give dynamicity to what is being exposed and a little camera concerned about the overall aesthetics of the scenes. The film still brings us one of the most substantial scenes in the history of cinema, when, in the last moments of the story, we see the character of Leatherface chasing his probable victim in a shrill sun.

1º – The Funhouse (Tobe Hooper, 1981)Hidden in the prolific 1980s, this movie features the figures of a playground, clowns and a family of freaks to rule its history. A film that gets its success exactly because of its lack of pretensions in creating a simple plot.
