3º – Pet Sematary (Kevin Kölsch, 2019)A doctor decides to accept a position in a small town college and moves in with his wife and two small children. However, tragedies and strange legends will torment the life of the doctor and his family. Based on a work by Stephen King, ‘Pet Semetery’ is frightened by the conceptual density of what is exposed, working with heavy themes such as grief, obsession and marriage, and bringing, to complement, scary scenes.
2º – Child’s Play (Lars Klevberg, 2019)A child gets a nice doll as a gift from his mother. The problem is that the doll has sinister entities inside it and will start to torment that child. ‘Child’s Play’ manages to capture well the atmosphere of the most emblematic films of the saga and brings to the viewer an involving plot and with certain nostalgic touches that amuse.
1º – A Quiet Place (John Krasinski, 2018)In a post-apocalyptic world in which human beings are forced to live hidden from creatures that hunt for sound, a family struggles for survival, facing the most diverse problems. Good option, ‘A Quiet Place’ works with a gloomy plot permeated with twists and turns, elevating incredible scenes and an intermittent suspense.
