A head of a family wants to take a few days off to go to an amusement park. However, the most diverse setbacks will get in the way of that family’s life, making the mission of getting to the park practically impossible. Funny from the first to the last scene, ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation’ is a unique comedy, bringing iconic characters, truly memorable situations and the greatest performance of actor Chevy Chase’s career.
2º – Sleepless in Seattle (Nora Ephron, 1993)
A lonely widowed man, at the request of his young son, participates in a radio program to find a new companion, quickly becoming a sensation in his city. ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ is regular in his general compendium, making use of a plot that moves in a cadenced way, possessing in the figures of Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan the points that really make the film worthwhile.
1º – Bachelor Party (Neal Israel, 1984)
Here, we can see a Tom Hanks still in the beginning of his career, in an uncompromising film, containing the elements common to the 1980s. Funny, the plot tells the story of a man about to get married who decides to have a memorable bachelor party. However, the most diverse confusions are going to happen, risking even the marriage of the man. ‘Bachelor Party’ entertains for being light. Its shallow and simple script prevents the film from trying to be pretentious at some point, making the spectator’s experience much more enjoyable.
