4º – How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (Donald Petrie, 2003)
A man and a woman initiate a different relationship: each (without the other knowing) is subject to a counter bet on the duration of this novel. Perhaps the great romantic comedy of the 2000s, ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ defined several of the future paths to the subgenre, working with several improved concepts from the previous decade.
3º – The Apartment (Billy Wilder, 1960)
A lonely man has to give up his apartment to his boss who is experiencing a love affair. However, what seemed to be simple, becomes an extreme situation when this boss leaves the man the mission to take care of his lover. Billy Wilder’s masterpiece, ‘The Apartment’ raises the most common thing in the director’s filmography, with a clever, endearing plot, a story that takes shape in a few settings and the irreligatable presence of Jack Lemmon.
