3º – Up in Smoke (Lou Adler, 1978)Two misfit men embark on a hallucinatory journey in search of a large quantity of marijuana, engulfing themselves in the most diverse confusions along the way. As strange and unassuming as his synopsis, ‘Up in Smoke’ amuses him for his lack of meaning, bringing two celebrated characters who would be immortalized in the collective unconscious of the time.
2º – Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (Stephen Herek, 1989)Two teenage friends discover a time machine in the shape of a telephone booth. Now, both will visit several distinct historical periods to make a big mess, as well as finish their school project. ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ uses a more basic humor, with simple situations, concentrating all its brightness on its central actors and productive range on time travel.
1º – Pineapple Express (David Gordon Green, 2008)Two immature men engage in deadly confusion with a drug dealer, starting an incessant flight. Hilarious comedy from the first to the last scene, ‘Pineapple Express’ benefits from the productive construction of the misfit personalities of its two central characters to give dynamicity to the story. A film that manages to promote laughs without sounding offensive or forced in their situations.
