This list features ten films that bring mismatched families in their respective plots. The focus here is to explain this social maladjustment in the family sphere by two strands acting on the positive and negative side. They are films that show how the family nucleus is important for the development of the subjectivity of the human being in the middle of an increasingly homogenous society. 10º – August: Osage County (John Wells, 2013)The paths of various characters of a family end up returning to the house where they grew up, exposing the various problems of each person inserted therein and their anguish with the direction of their lives. The film sometimes clings too much to exaggerated scenes, with performances too intense for what the script proposes, but, in general, the work succeeds in showing how a dysfunctional family can compromise the psychological structure of several individuals inserted in that reality.
