Claudio Assis presents, in an exquisite work, the vision of a place forgotten by society, located somewhere in Pernambuco, controlled by the old law of the strongest. Surviving in that place is a difficult task. Here the human being is shown on its most primitive side, evidencing its entire animal side. Sex and violence merge into one of the most disturbing Brazilian films ever made.

5º – Funny Games (Michael Haneke, 1997)

The film makes a counterpoint between a primitive vision of being human, always based on the use of violence to guide its actions, and a more domesticated vision of the man inserted in a society with low crime rates. Its director (Michael Haneke) questions us on both points, showing the positive and negative sides of each one of facing the human being.
