8º – La Cérémonie (Claude Chabrol, 1995)
Claude Chabrol’s Classical, ‘La Cérémonie’ tells how evil can enter the most unlikely environments and places. Here we have the story of a family that enjoys a well-structured life in a rural area of France. After needing a maid, the figure of Sophie la bonne appears to apply for employment. Despite showing a strange side, the family decides to hire the woman by its competence and by the absence of competition. All goes well until the moment when Sophie begins to demonstrate her black side, culminating in a disturbing resolution.

7º – Natural Born Killers (Oliver Stone, 1994)
After a cruel and difficult childhood, Mickey and Mallory, united by simple chance, begin an incomprehensible wave of murders without motives, leaving any place that they pass in a complete state of chaos. The film brings to the viewer the vision of being human as a product of the environment. Here, in ‘Natural Born Killers’, society simply reaps what it has planted. The movie also presents a critique of the trivialization of death found in that society.
