2º – The Silence of the Lambs (Jonathan Demme, 1991)A young FBI agent turns to a psychopath to try to capture a serial killer in a prolific period. ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ is a unique thriller. Everything here is extremely well built. The cadenced dynamics, the cold photograph, the electric soundtrack, the impeccable performances, the audacious direction and, of course, the concise script give the rhythm and quality of the film.
1º – Zodiac (David Fincher, 2007)Based on a true story, ‘Zodiac’ tells the trajectory of a journalist who finds himself completely obsessed with a serial killer who uses encrypted letters and messages to announce his next murder. The greatest success of the film is to escape from the traditional exposed in the genre of suspense, giving dynamicity to its plot only with plausible aspects, without ever appealing to exaggerated resolutions.
