8º – Zodiac (David Fincher, 2007)In the late 1960s, a serial killer terrorized the United States, killing people randomly and sending perverse little puzzles to the media. The film will focus on a journalist and his obsession to find out more about the killer’s figure. Immersed more and more in the tangle of facts about the serial killer, this journalist will enter into a routine of losing his identity, destroying his family ties and compromising his future.

 

7º – Alps (Yorgos Lanthimos, 2011)A group of people ends up building as a way of working temporarily replacing dead people, trying to mitigate the suffering of their families. ‘Alps’ shows how the meaning of life can be quite malleable. We will also see characters completely losing their essence, only recognizing themselves in the interpretation of dead people.

However, as he increasingly enters the life of the couple, the man ends up confusing his own life with that of the two people, coming to question his standard of morality and to break with some barriers imposed by the social spirit of the time of the place.

 

5º – Black Swan (Darren Aronofsky, 2010)A young ballerina ends up having the chance of her life when being chosen to play the protagonist of the staging of the dramatic ballet of ‘The Lake of the Swans’. The film focuses on the process of preparation of the dancer, evidencing its gradual overthrow to the madness as it is confused with the personage of the piece.
