5º – Cube (Vincenzo Natali, 1997)
In the plot, six strangers find themselves attached to hub-shaped platforms that are connected by small entrances. Without knowing why they are there, soon the six will realize that deadly traps permeate some rooms in the shape of a cube. Now, it will be up to them to survive and try to find a reason for that and an escape route. A thriller with unique science fiction ingredients from the 1990s, ‘Cube’ is a typical film that doesn’t let you take your eyes off the events of the plot, with fragments of innovative and surprising scenes. The only negative point of the work is its forced and unintelligent ending.
4º – Timecrimes (Nacho Vigalondo, 2007)
After accidentally entering a time machine, a man finds himself in an endless tangle of bizarre situations. Scary in its content, the film is dynamic, knowing how to translate all the complexity of its plot into fast and unpretentious scenes. One of the best movies about time travel ever made.
