7º – Flatliners (Joel Schumacher, 1990)
Some medical students, avid for what is most common in the profession, decide to start a dangerous secret experiment, trying to find out more about the death, being the guinea pigs themselves. However, something goes wrong and all those subjected to that experience have strange hallucinations. Directed by the claudicating Joel Schumacher, ‘Flatliners’ is a first-rate thriller. His engrossing and scary plot, as well as Schumacher’s impeccable work creating atmosphere, gives the ideal space for his cast of quality to productively live each character.
6º – Malice (Harold Becker, 1993)
In the quest to get a child, a couple goes to a doctor known for an operation. However, things flee to the control of some of the involved, initiating a perverse game of deceptions. ‘Malice’ is a regular suspense in its execution, entering in this list by the acting of Alec Baldwin like doctor of the history, obtaining a convincing and prominent action.
