9º – The Elephant Man (David Lynch, 1980)
A doctor ends up discovering the figure of a young man completely disfigured as a simple circus freak. Realizing a unique talent in that individual, the doctor decides to help the man, giving him a whole new life. Sadly and conceptually disturbing, the film questions the destructive social values contained in individuals of the most diverse, provoking the spectator with thrilling scenes.
8º – Vegetarian Cannibal (Branko Schmidt, 2012)
In the plot, we will explore the perverse daily life of an unscrupulous doctor in his destructive journey through the world, always having in the background the ethical debate with his profession. Coming from Croatian cinema, this film is not suitable for all audiences and is notable as offensive in some scenes. However, the decision to bring your story completely, without compromise in unraveling every meander of its central character, makes this work a good choice for us to catch a glimpse of all the rot that understands the world.
