3º – All the President’s Men (Alan J. Pakula, 1976)
The film follows the investigation of some reporters of an American newspaper about unprecedented scandals in the country’s politics. ‘All the President’s Men’ manages to be pleasant by transposing to the public a cadenced plot, without much action in its events, giving even more weight to history.
2º – The Graduate (Mike Nichols, 1967)
After starting a new relationship with a girl he had fallen in love with, a young man will have his life changed after discovering that her mother was a woman he had had an affair with. Mike Nichols’ masterpiece, ‘The Graduate’, mixes the obligations of early adulthood with the exacerbations of late adolescence, relying on Dustin Hoffman’s irreproachable performance in front of the protagonist.
1º – Rain Man (Barry Levinson, 1988)
After his father’s death, a young businessman discovers that the man had left all his money to an unknown son. Now the young man will investigate who this strange unknown brother is. ‘Rain Man’ is an irreproachable work, bringing two incredible characters into the central arc of the story, working to show how certain people can alter the path of our lives.
