Extreme in his entanglement of scenes, ‘Apostle’ surprises by the different and immersive direction of director Gareth Evans, bringing us a story that investigates a rotten siege of humanity, as well as offering a raw view on violence.

 

8º – Gerald’s Game (Mike Flanagan, 2017)Taking as its starting point a completely isolated lake house, the film brings the steps of a woman who, after her husband died during an attempt to make their relationship warmer, is tied to a bed. Smart, ‘Gerald’s Game’ manages to be incredible with little, by using much of the glow of the story – adapted from a Stephen King book – to make the film unique.
