9º – Heaven Can Wait (Ernst Lubitsch, 1943)The film begins by showing our protagonist in hell, having a conversation with the local representatives about the reasons that made him go there. ‘Heaven Can Wait’ is a film ahead of its time, working with a model of humor that comes naturally to the compendium of scenes. A true masterpiece of cinema.
8º – To Kill a Mockingbird (Robert Mulligan, 1962)A respected lawyer decides to help a black man falsely accused of a horrible crime. Now it is up to him to deal with a city that is extremely racist on its own. ‘To Kill a Mockinbird’, a film based on Harper Lee’s novel, alternates between positive and negative moments, reaching its apex of quality exactly in the theme of racism being debated. It is also worth mentioning the great performance of the legendary Gregory Peck in front of the main character.
