3º – The Family Fang (Jason Bateman, 2015)
After their parents, two completely maladjusted artists, disappeared without a trace, two brothers undertake a search for answers. ‘The Family Fang’, despite having been released recently, is hidden in the genre of comedy. However, the work deserved a greater prominence, since it delivers a different story from what we are used to, good performances and an interesting work of direction.
2º – Game Night (John Francis Daley, 2018)
Max and Annie, a couple used to hosting board game night with their friends, have their plans changed when a brother of Max, a man with a lot of money, decides to host one of the nights. The problem is that the game in question may not be as normal as they were thinking. ‘Game Night’ is a super fun movie, working with lots of action, adventure and, of course, comedy.
1º – The Gift (Joel Edgerton, 2015)
In the plot, a couple receives the unexpected visit of a man who had been friends with one of them for a long time. However, the strange man begins, little by little, to annoy the couple, placing in doubt their motivations in front of them. ‘The Gift’ uses few scenarios to govern the events of their story. Here, everything is guided under a climate of mystery that is kept until the final moments of the film, letting the viewer formulate theories about what they are seeing on screen.
