7º – The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Peter Jackson, 2001)
Based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel, the plot explores the journey of several characters in order to destroy a powerful ring that corrupts those who possess it. ‘The Lord of the Rings’ is the first film of the Ring trilogy, working with an engaging plot, a great direction by Peter Jackson, striking special effects for the time and an unretouched cast.
6º – The Aviator (Martin Scorsese, 2004)
The film explores several fragments of the life of aviator and filmmaker Howard Hughes, capturing the most significant moments of his journey around the world in the first half of the 20th century. Directed by Martin Scorsese, ‘The Aviator’ provides the viewer with positive and negative moments, perhaps having a plot too drawn out, but that manages to explore with assertiveness the life of its protagonist.
