The film goes through the lives of two friends, from childhood to adulthood, who commit various crimes in the place where they live, creating a reign of power, vengeance and betrayal. Directed by Sergio Leone, ‘Once upon a time in America’ brings together a great team of actors such as James Woods, Joe Pesci, Elizabeth McGovern and, of course, Robert De Niro.
2º – Videodrome (David Cronenberg, 1983)
A small television channel producer acquires a new attraction that promises to capture a lot of audience. However, this new attraction turns out to be more gloomy than it seemed, putting the sanity of man at risk. ‘Videodrome’ presents an involving atmosphere, completely absorbing the viewer’s attention to the events of the story.
1º – Salvador (Oliver Stone, 1986)
In James Woods’ greatest career performance, ‘Salvador’ is sad and overwhelming in his criticism of war, greed and the troubled paths followed by human beings. A necessary film, but one that requires more attention for its powerful psychological content.
